Obituary

Summit- Roger A. Dibble, 89, formerly of Summit died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born January 3, 1933, in Eminence, he was the son of Omar and Ora (O’Neil) Dibble.

Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran, proudly serving his country from 1950 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1952.

He lived in Summit most of his life and worked at Eklund Building Supplies in Stamford for 29 years. From 1988 he was self-employed, operating R.E. Construction until retiring in 2000 and then continued to work part-time.

He was a member of the Summit Conservation Club and Hudson and Mohawk Chapter for Gas and Antique Engines. Roger was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edith, who died in 1995 and brothers, Larry and Carlton Victor Dibble.

Survivors include his daughters: Donna Rivenburgh of Summit and Sharon Dibble of Oneonta, NY; sons:  Sheldon Dibble and David Dibble of Summit; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service with military honors that will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Summit Cemetery, Summit, NY. Rev. David Houck of the Christian  Community Church of in Richmondville will officiate.
