Howes Cave- John H. Madl, 70, of Robinson Road, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence unexpectedly.
Born January 15, 1950 in Cobleskill, he was the son of the late Frank and Marjorie (Stanton) Madl.
John graduated from the former Cobleskill Central School with the class of 1969. He joined the United States Army in 1970 and received an honorable discharge in 1972. John retired from NYS DOT after 38 years of employment.
John was raised on the family farm and has always loved farm animals. Throughout his adult life he has kept a hobby farm.
Forever cherishing his memories are his wife, Jenny (Leach) Madl, whom he married January 27, 1970; his children: Ginger Ward of Schoharie, Candy Hotaling of Worcester, James (Samantha) Madl of Berne, Tammy (Steve) Tansey of Cobleskill and Sherri (Thomas) Becker of Sloansville; a brother, Frank Madl of Cobleskill; sister, Ruth Nicolette of Texas; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In accordance with John’s request, there will be no formal services.
