Obituary

Howes Cave- Georgina “Gina” M. Proctor, 56, of Shady Tree Lane, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 3, 1965, in Cobleskill, she is the daughter of George and Lola (Holmes) Fletcher of Sharon Springs, NY.

Gina was a 1984 graduate of Sharon Springs Central School.  She lived in Schoharie County for all of her life. Beginning in June of 1988, Gina worked for Lexington ARC (formally Schoharie ARC) where she met her husband, Allen Proctor. They were married on July 15, 1995. Gina retired from Lexington/Schoharie County ARC in December 2020 after 32 years working as a production coordinator and payroll clerk.

Gina had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed crocheting and photography. Gina also enjoyed doing benefit motorcycle rides with her husband and friends and watching the Hallmark and Lifetime channels. She and her husband loved working as vendors at the local craft shows. Above everything Gina enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family and her fur babies. Gina had a big heart and a tough exterior and a willingness to help others however she could.

Gina was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kayla Winnie, who died May 4, 2021.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Allen Proctor; son, Joshua (Stephanie) Fletcher, daughters: Michelle (Cory) Proctor and Sherrie (Mike) Winnie; and son, Michael Proctor; her parents, George and Lola Fletcher; sister, Michelle (James) Keaney; grandson, Dominic Fletcher, granddaughter Alicia Gray, grandsons, Marcus and Robert Mack and nieces, Meghan and Samantha Keaney along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Gina’s life will be held at a later date with inurnment in Slate Hill Cemetery to follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to Marathon For a Better Life, PO Box 268, Warnerville, NY 12187 or The Lawyersville Reformed Church, PO Box 421, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
