Cobleskill-Ethel A. Dilorenzo, 79, of Cobleskill, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Robinson Terrace Nursing Home, Stamford, NY.
Born February 4, 1941, in Lutheranville, NY, she was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Reed) Christ.
She was a lifelong area resident of Cobleskill, who worked many years in real estate for Dahl Realty and Country Boy Realty.
Ethel loved Frank Sinatra, playing poker on Saturday night with our Uncle Don (and winning most of the time). She loved her beautiful yard and mowing it but didn’t mind parking those cars on it when the Sunshine Fair was in town.
Ethel is survived by her son, James Dilorenzo (Cindy Brown) of Cobleskill and her daughter, Donna Dilorenzo (Robert Collins), her sister, Marilyn Weise formerly of Cobleskill; three grandchildren: Elysia Winnie (Mike Rubin) of Cobleskill, Heather Hartlieb (Joseph) of Sharon Springs and Megan Tempone (Eric Sulem) of Cobleskill; three great-grandchildren: Ehriana, Everleigh and Sofia. She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Sullivan.
Private services will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s name may be made to the food pantry at Catholic Charities of Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie Counties, 489 West Main St., Cobleskill.
The Dilorenzo family has entrusted arrangements to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY during their time of need.
