Middleburgh- Zachary E. Burke, 23, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
  
  
  Born April 13, 1988 in Niskayuna, he was a son of Stanley and Janet (McCoy) Burke. Zachary was raised in Middleburgh and Schoharie and was a lifelong area resident.
  
  
  He was an operator for his brother's business, Northeast Specialist. He enjoyed snowboarding, four-wheeling, and playing recreational basketball.
  
  He loved his dog, cat, and cadillac.
  
  
  Survivors include his parents: Stanley and Janet Burke of Schoharie; his brother, Matthew Burke (Ashley Hurlburt) of Cobleskill; his sister, Amber Burke (Ryan McAvoy) of Middleburgh; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn (Roger) Becker; his girlfriend, Kristinna Chieco of Schoharie; nephew, Nathan Burke; niece, Amaiya Burke; and aunt, Amy Rahn of North Carolina.
  
  
  A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main St., Middleburgh. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the church from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service.
  
  
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
