Delhi- Winifred K. "Winnie" Witt, 91, formerly of Cobleskill, New York died peacefully on August 16, 2023 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born on March 15, 1932 in Ridgefield Park, NJ, she was the daughter of Edward Draves and Katherine Scherer Draves. She was a High School graduate and spent most of her life in the Jefferson area.
Winnie was a mother and homemaker. She was also strong and independent,
She was of strong Christian faith.
Winnie loved to craft. She enjoyed decorating, especially for Christmas. She took great pride in her home. She liked to travel and enjoyed going for rides with her husband in his classic Malibu SS.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Witt on January 29, 1992. Her brothers, Donald Draves and Roger Draves also predeceased her.
Winifred is survived by her daughter, Kaem and Charly LaFalce of Schoharie, NY; son, Craig Witt of Summit, NY; grandchildren, Cristy, Jeanette, Justin, and Travis; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:00pm at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Strickland officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mrs. Winifred Witt may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org .
