Cobleskill- Winifred M. Rosenberger, 84, of Greenbush Hill Rd., died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Focus Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Otsego where she had been a resident for the past four months.
Born August 3, 1930 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Martin and Winifred (Finneran) Tarpey.
Winnie was an outstanding portrait artist in her younger years and loved to dance. She was a clerk for NY Telephone Co. in Manhattan for many years.
Winnie married Ellsworth Rosenberger on April 28, 1956 and he predeceased her on March 15, 2014. She was also predeceased by her brother, Martin Joseph Tarpey in 2004.
Upon retirement, they moved from New Jersey to Cobleskill thirty years ago and became communicants of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister: Mary Tarpey of Cobleskill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholica Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Jeffrey L'Arche as celebrant. A period of visitation will be held at the church prior to Mass from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Spring interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
