William George

Breakabeen- William James George, 59, of State Route 30, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Albany Medical Center.

Born August 5, 1955 in Albany, he was the son of the late Virgil and Elizabeth (Zipfel) George.

Bill was a graduate of SUNY Delhi, earning his Associate's degree in auto mechanics. He was retired from Hudson Valley AAA of Albany where he drove the battery van and assisted travelers in need for five years.

He was a member of the North Blenheim United Methodist Church and loved his church family. Bill enjoyed camping, archery, and roller skating. In most recent years, his grandbabies were the most treasured and closest to his heart.

Survivors include his wife, Lori (Nelson) George, whom he married January 5, 1980; three children: Nicole George and fiancée, Paul Davis of Sharon Springs, Joseph George of Breakabeen, and Matthew George and his fiancée, Danielle LaMont of Jefferson; his three grandchildren: Adriona and Aubree George and Kolten Ray Davis; and his brother: Virgil (Jgerry) George of Huntersland.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at North Blenheim United Methodist Church with Rev. Neil Irwin officiating. Private inurnment will be in Breakabeen Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Blenheim United Methodist Church, PO Box 137, North Blenheim, NY 12131.
