Hyndsville- William F. Ott, 91, of Brown Mills Lane, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Mr. Ott was born March 16, 1916 in Cleveland, OH, the son of William and Olive (Boothman) Ott.
Mr. Ott was a United States Army veteran, serving in the 42nd Rainbow Infantry Division during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the Fred L. Stilson Post of the American Legion. He was employed as a sales representative for Electrolux of Albany for over 50 years.
For the past 15 years, he resided in Hyndsville and attended the Hyndsville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Hoffmann) Ott, whom he married March 1 1984; his son, William (Martha) Ott of Hyndsville; his granddaughter, Rebecca ( John) Benvenuto of South Carolina; a step-daughter, Karolina Nolan of Port Henry, NY; and 2 step-grandchildren, Kristina and Christopher DuBuque.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 12, 2007 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm Street Cobleskill with Rev. Jared Van Wagenen IV officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady.
