RICHMONDVILLE- Mrs. Waneta "Duffy" Jackson, 80, of Franzen Road, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill.
Mrs. Jackson was born February 16, 1926 in Davenport, the daughter of Orcutt and Carrie (Oakley) Cole, Sr.
She was a homemaker all her life and supported the Richmondville Little League. Mrs Jackson also enjoyed Bingo and scratch off cards.
She was predeceased by two sons: Floyd Lee Jackson and Anthony Dean Jackson, five sisters, and 4 brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Merritt Jackson, Sr., whom she married April 27, 1943; her children: Linda (Glen) Gallup, Edward (Cindy) Jackson, Carol (Jeff) Tryon, all of Richmondville, and Merritt (Debra) Jackson, Jr. of Middleburgh; her brother, Warren (Jean) Cole of Summit, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2006, at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill with Rev. Victor Zaccaro officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 (Noon) to 1:00 PM, prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Richmondvillle Rural Cemetery.
