Vivian Schottenham
Gilboa - Vivian D. Schottenham, 89, of Meadowland Drive, died unexpectedly on Sunday. August 30, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born March 4, 1926 in Delmar, she was the daughter of Perry and Mildred (Bradt) Pier.
Vivian retired from the former Fort Orange Press in Albany where she was a binder. She has lived in the Gilboa area for the past twenty years and found great pleasure in walking through the woods and teaching her children about the vegetation.
Her two husbands predeceased her.
Survivors include her three children: Michael Karl of Gilboa, Jon Karl of Greenfield Center, and Dawn Marie Schweiger of Maryland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Breakabeen Cemetery.
