Virginia Nelson

Mrs. Virginia M. Nelson, 75, formerly of Preston Hollow, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
Mrs. Nelson was born January 21, 1932 in Rome, NY, the daughter of Earl and Edith (Mabb) Dunn.
She was a homemaker all her life and was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Albany.
Mrs. Nelson was predeceased by her husband, Robert Melvin Nelson, who died in 1984 and a brother, Robert Dunn.
Survivors include her children: David (Mary) Nelson of Nassau, Steven (Betty) Nelson of Rockwood, TN, Robert J. (Samantha) Nelson of Colton, CA, Karen (James) Birsen of Middleburgh, Patricia (Lee) Hillicoss of Preston Hollow, Lori (William) George of Breakabeen, and Scott (Stephanie) Nelson of Breakabeen; her siblings: Debra Scheicher, Linda Dunkerley, Keith "Skipper" Briggs Dunn, Edith Bacucci, Maxine Clancy, Harley Dunn, and James Dunn; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the United Methodist Church, State Route 30, North Blenheim with Rev. Neil Irwin officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Wed. at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Oak Hill.
