Virginia R. Kniskern, 72, of State Route 30, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Kniskern was born in Middleburgh, NY on July 9, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Lillian (Garner) Palmatier.
She was a lifelong area resident and was the Town Clerk of Blenheim for 39 years. She was also a member and Past President of the Blenheim Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting clocks and spending time with her grandson.
Mrs. Kniskern was predeceased by 2 sisters, Florence and Evelyn, and 2 brothers, Howard and Loyal, and by 1 nephew.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Kniskern, Sr., whom she married on January 20, 1957, one daughter, Barbara (Robert H., Jr.) Mann, one son, William J. Kniskern, Jr., one grandson, Kevin R. Mann, all of North Blenheim, NY, 2 sisters, Katherine (Clyde) Sisson of Berne, NY and Alverda Ploss of North Blenheim, one brother, Donald Palmatier of Middleburgh, NY, as well as 5 Nieces and 2 Nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 7 pm at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, NY with the Rev. Barry Graham officiating. The public may call from 5 pm to 7 pm prior to the funeral service Tuesday evening.
