Vincent Laparle

Vincent J. LaParle, 84, formerly of Huntersland, NY, died Wed. June 6, 2007 at the New Jersey Veteran's Home at Paramus, where he had been a resident since Oct. 7, 2004

Mr. LaParle was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 22, 1923 a son of the late Frank and Delia Crowley LaParle. Mr. LaParle served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed as an engineer on the Staten Island Ferry until retiring in 1985. Mr. LaParle moved to the family home, in Huntersland, NY in 1980.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Memorial Post # 1261 in Middleburgh, NY and was also a communicant of St. Catherine's Church in Middleburgh, NY.

Mr. LaParle was predeceased by his wife, Irene M. LaParle on May 13, 2000.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 A.M. on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at St. Catherine's Church, Main St. Middleburgh, NY. Father Thomas Holmes will officiate. Burial will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery. Friends may call Sat., June 9, 2007 from 10-11:00 A.M. at the Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY
