On July 10, 2025, Tyler Ryan Shoemaker passed away unexpectedly.
Tyler was born in Niskayuna, New York on December 20, 1996, in the middle of a snowstorm to Nadene Garreau and Keith Shoemaker. He attended Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School, where he was loved by so many.
Tyler was the life of every party. Cracking jokes and making people laugh was what he was great at. He loved music and could think of a song for everything. Tyler would actively volunteer at the Night Terrors Haunted Farm every year. He would truly enjoy scaring every single person who would walk through that maze.
Most recently Tyler worked for AT&T in Cobleskill as a Sales Representative.
He was a member of the Warnerville United Methodist Church.
Tyler was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dorothy and Frank Garreau, his uncle Robert Garreau, his father Keith Shoemaker, his paternal grandparents Kenny and Barbara Shoemaker, and his angel baby.
Tyler left behind his mother Nadene Garreau, his son Killian Robert with a daughter on the way and the mother of his children Alyssa Schrom, Uncles and Aunts Brian and Caroline Garreau (Schenectady), Steve and Lynda Garreau (Summit), Melissa and Everett Morris (Palm Coast, FL), Melissa Shoemaker Pigliavento (Cortland), Alisa Pickett (Ballston Spa) , Lonnie and Violet O’Dell (Warnerville) and Tom Jones (Maryland) as well as several cousins. While family isn’t chosen, we do get the choice to add to our family; Tyler leaves behind his “brother” and best friend Johnny Wright as well as many other friends. He will be truly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please consider donations to Tyler's son and unborn daughter at
