HOWES CAVE- Timothy B. Blodgett, 60, died at his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Blodgett was born November 6, 1946 in Gloversville, NY, and was the son of Donald R. and June (Rogers) Blodgett.
He graduated from Gloversville High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Mr. Blodgett served three years in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Bronze Star. He was a chef at the Witch's Grotto Restaurant at Howe Caverns for years.
Mr. Blodgett was predeceased by a sister, Pamela Lee.
He is survived by three sisters; Donna Strauser (Ron) of Howes Cave, Patricia Charboneau (Mark) of Fayetteville, NY, and Sunday Lake of Gloversville, NY, his best friend, Pete Kakareka of Howes Cave, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at 11:00am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
