Rotterdam- Timothy Thomas Batchler, 45, of Caroline Ave., died Sunday, January 22, 2017 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born December 3, 1971 in Kingston, PA, he was the son of Laing Thomas and Virginia (Hill) Batchler.
Tim graduated from Stroudsburg High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served from 1990 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1994 as a Morse code interceptor.
Tim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing at the family farm in Schoharie County. He and his wife, Stephanie, were involved in the Schalmont school sports as well as Capital Region Soccer League.
Tim was an energy consultant at Vivint Solar in Albany.
Survivors include his four children: Jonathan Batchler of Fort Drum, Jack Batchler, and twins, Abby and Chloe Batchler all of Rotterdam; his parents: Laing Thomas and Virginia Batchler of Coral Gables, FL; his siblings: Gini Lea Quinn, Lori Ann Overfield, Carrie Batchler, Larry Alan Kunkle and Kenneth Scot Kunkle; several nieces and nephews; and his father and mother-in-law: George E. and Barbara Stanton of Cobleskill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Inurnment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
