Thomas Kane Valhos, 41, of Gardnersville Road, Cobleskill, New York died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Born on March 15, 1983 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of Patrick Michael Valhos and Lucinda June Strickland Valhos. He was a lifelong resident of the Cobleskill area.
Thomas was a landscaper for Moonlight Horticulture in Pattersonville, NY.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved music and going to concerts, Kenny Chesney being a favorite. Thomas was fun loving, outgoing, and had a huge heart.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, June and Herbert Strickland; brother, Daniel Patrick Valhos; and Uncle Joseph Busolt.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Patrick and Lucinda Valhos; daughter, Olivia Joyce Valhos; siblings, Patti (Brian) Monton, Lewis (Jessica) Valhos, Tara (Andy Reightmyer) Valhos; nieces and nephews, Haley, Hunter, Madison, Victoria, Carson, Jesse, Raina; great-niece, Ophelia; great-nephew, Theodore; and many friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie County, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
