Cobleskill- Thomas Harry Matter, 62, of France Lane, Cobleskill, New York died Monday, December 30, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, following a long illness.
Born on September 11, 1962, in Queens, NY, he was the son of Benevell Matter and Sophie Bugel Matter. He was educated in Queens Village and had been a resident of the Cobleskill area for the past 25 years.
Thomas was a self-employed auto mechanic.
He was of Orthodox Christian faith.
Thomas enjoyed auto mechanics, computer programing and troubleshooting, engineering, and building cars. He also enjoyed long walks and watching car races.
In 2009 in Schoharie, Thomas was married to Lenie Lupian.
He was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Mary Ann Graf.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Lenie Lupian; son, Alex Xander Matter; brother, Ben Matter; nieces and nephew, Denise Graf, Dawn Graf, Douglas Matter; and best friend, Christopher McCarthy.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 12, 2024 from 2:00-3:00pm at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
