Thomas Edwards

Seward- Thomas A. Edwards, 59, of Loonenburg Turnpike, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, following a brief illness.

Born January 10, 1951 in New York City, Thomas had been employed at Pitney Bowes as a machine repairman.

After he started his family, he became a stay at home father, who enjoyed cooking, fishing and the outdoors. He was also a handyman.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Sharon (Sisson) Edwards; his two daughters: Sarah Grant of Schenectady, and Esther Edwards of Seward; his parents: John and Esther (Lucas) Edwards of Rotterdam; and two brothers: John Edwards of Guilderland and Joseph Edwards of San Marino, CA.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, with Rev. Victor Zaccaro officiating. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday. Cremation will follow the service at Vale Crematory.
