Richmondville-Theresa M. Pagnotta, 85, of Richmondville, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2019 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare, Utica.

Born October 3, 1933 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Giannuzzi and Luisa Granata Giannuzzi.

On June 18, 1955, she married her husband Umberto.

Theresa was a secretary at MGM in New York City until she married and then became a housewife. The family moved from Rye, NY and then in 1976 to Richmondville, NY. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and cooking. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Worcester, NY.

Survivors include her husband, Umberto, her 3 children: Mary (Richard, Richie) Greene John (Vickie) Pagnotta, and Loretta (Andrè, Andy) Cappiello, and one brother: Joseph Giannuzzi; her 5 grandchildren: Kristopher Greene, Kayla Greene, Kaitlyn Greene, Cassandra Pagnotta, and Gianna Maria Cappiello; along with one niece and several nephews.

She is predeceased by her son; Ralph Pagnotta, and 2 brothers; Frank and Anthony Giannuzzi.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Mohawk Homestead.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service that will be held at 12:30 on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY. A period of visitation will be held prior from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM. A spring internment will be held at a later date at St. Josephs Cemetery, in Worcester, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Homestead, 62 East Main Street, Mohawk, NY 13407.
