Theresa J. Grasso

The family of Theresa J. Grasso, of Cohoes, NY, is saddened to advise of her passing on Tuesday, October 31st . In her 61 years of life, Theresa was lovingly known as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt/great aunt and Nanna as well as a friend to many.

In February of 1962, Theresa was born to Frank Grasso and Alvana Rifenbark and grew up in Cobleskill, NY where she attended and graduated from Cobleskill High School. She later obtained her Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate from Mildred Elley in 2001. Utilizing her love of auto mechanics, and extensive knowledge of the same, Theresa was happily employed at Napa Auto Parts, in the Capital District, for 15 years, where she received many awards and certificates of recognition as an outstanding associate.

Theresa is survived by her daughters- Amber Ferdula, Rebecca Hanson (Otto Hanson) and Chelsea Diamond-Jenne (David Diamond-Jenne). In the wake of her passing, she leaves behind special love to her grandchildren, Breyauna Bronson, Jordyn Edwards, Devon Hanson, Anthony Diamond- Jenne and Celina Diamond-Jenne. Theresa is survived, also, by many beloved nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and her birth sister. Theresa is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Alvana Grasso; brothers, Roy Grasso and Frank Grasso; sister, Gloria Grasso and nephew, Nathan Grasso.

At the request of Theresa, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, in the absence of formal services, Theresa’s family encourages you to make a donation, to any charity of your choice, in her memory.
