Cobleskill- Theodore Strobeck, 84, of Cobleskill passed away with his loving family at his side on December 1, 2018.

Born January 27, 1934, in Charlotteville he is the son of Claude H. Strobeck and Pearl (Graham) Strobeck.

Theodore enlisted in the United States Army in 1951 and proudly served his country for three years before being honorably discharged in 1954.

He worked as a senior custodian at the Cobleskill School District and retired in 1996. Theodore enjoyed attending car shows, collecting old cars and Hess trucks. He was the proud owner of a 1957 antique Ford Victoria. Theodore was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as a member of the local bowling league team.

Ted is predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine Holt, and his siblings: Larry Strobeck, Freida Jones, and Virgil Payne.

Theodore leaves behind his wife, Edith (Zeh) Strobeck, whom he married on March 4, 1955 along with his son, Theodore G. (Jody) Strobeck of Cobleskill, daughter, Sherry L. (Richard) Slater of Cobleskill , brother, Claude H. Strobeck Jr. of Cobleskill, and sisters: Bertha Werpochowski of Oneonta, Clara (Loren) Proper of Johnstown, Josephine Duncan of Schuyler Lake, Alice Brown of Cooperstown and Linda (Roger) Gordon of Johnstown; as well as seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, with a funeral service and military honors immediately following at 7 PM.
