West Fulton- Theodore Dauley, 87, formerly of West Fulton Road, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Marchand Manor Home for Adults in Sharon Springs where he had been a resident for the past fifteen years.

Born April 12, 1927 in Jefferson, he was the son of Watson and Rose (Morrell) Dauley.

Ted was a United States Army veteran, proudly serving his country from 1952 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1954.

He was a farmhand all is life, working various farms. He worked for a brief time on Long Island and then came back to this area. Ted was a laborer on the Fancher Farm, John Bellinger's Farm, and since 1958, the Elmdale Farm, owned by the Harry Clapper family.

Ted loved nature, all animals, and was an outdoorsman. He was also a supporter of the West Fulton United Methodist Church. Conversation regarding history and reminiscing was a favorite past time of Ted's.

Ted had several siblings and numerous nieces and nephews, which include Arthur Terk of North Blenheim.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with a period of visitation to be held one hour prior from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
