Jefferson-Tessie Wilkinson, 92, of Moxham Road, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
Born October 2, 1919 in Staten Island, she was a daughter of Michael and Mary (Wismiewska) Lempicky.
Tessie retired from NY Telephone Co. where she was a supervisor in Flushing.
She was a member of the Cobleskill Full Gospel Church and loved the Lord.
Her hobbies included crafts, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and plastic canvas.
Survivors include her two daughters: Carol Ann Wilkinson of Jefferson and Joyce (James) Vercruysse of Rochester; her sister: Dorothy Prendergast of Minneola; her brother: Alfred Lempicky of Orange, VA; three granddaughters: Doreen (Paul) Keptner of Midland, MI, Debra Vercruysse of Latham, and Cynthia (Chad) Carlton of Webster, NY; and five great-grandchildren: Steven, David, and Alyssa Keptner, Caleb and Carter Carlton.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St. Cobleskill with Rev. Richard Smith of Cobleskill Full Gospel Church officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM. Burial will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery, Jefferson.
