Terry Porter

Middleburgh- Terry L. Porter, 51, of State Route 145, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016. due to natural causes.

Terry was born in Cobleskill on May 28, 1965.

She graduated from Middleburgh Central School and worked as a waitress for many years in Virginia before moving back to Middleburgh. Most recently, she worked at the Subway in Middleburgh.

Terry loved cats, collecting teapots, gardening, making crafts and spending time with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her sister: Shelly Marie Mickle.

Terry is survived by her daughter: Nicole (Tom) Ondrek of West Fulton; grandchildren: Lily and John of West Fulton; mother: Sylvia Bourdeau of Middleburgh; father: Roger Lawyer, Sr. of Middleburgh; companion: James Butler of Middleburgh; sisters: Robin (David) Hagadorn of Middleburgh, Wendy (Jim) McBain of Middleburgh; brothers: Scott Mickle of Cairo, Roger "Boydie" Lawyer, Jr. of Middleburgh; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St. Middleburgh, with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery. There will be no formal period of visitation.
