Rotterdam- Stephanie B. Batchler, 44, Caroline Ave., died Sunday, January 22, 2017 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born September 11, 1972 in Cobleskill and was the daughter of George E. and Barbara (Senecal) Stanton, who survive her. Stephanie was raised in Canajoharie and was a graduate of Canajoharie High School. She enlisted in the United States Navy in 1990 and retired as Chief Petty Officer in 2010. Stephanie was continuing her education at Hudson Valley Community College pursuing a career as a registered nurse. She was currently working at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Stephanie was dedicated to her children, her country and her patients. She and her husband, Tim, were involved with the Schalmont School sports as well as the Capital Region Soccer League. Survivors include her four children: Jonathan Batchler of Fort Drum, Jack Batchler, and twins, Abby and Chloe Batchler all of Rotterdam; her parents: George E. and Barbara Stanton of Cobleskill; her brothers: Kyle Stanton of Canajoharie and Trevor (Patty) Stanton of Rotterdam; nephew: Trevor Stanton; and her father and mother-in-law: Laing Thomas and Virginia Batchler of Coral Gables, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Inurnment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, 47 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
