Spencer Yanson

Schoharie- Spencer G. Yanson, 59, of Ecker Hollow Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 14, 2008.
Mr. Yanson was born February 6, 1949 in Cornwall, NY, the son of Georgianna (Nostrand) and Choral J. Yanson, Sr.
He retired from the Department of Physical Education at the Arvin Gym in West Point, NY where he was an athletic equipment repairman.
Formerly of Highland Falls, NY, he and his wife moved to this area in 2005. Mr. Yanson was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cobleskill
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary (Sherman) Yanson, whom he married June 4, 1970; two sons: Christopher (Bobbi) Yanson of Osceola, IN and Jason (Jenny) Yanson of Conroe, TX; four grandchildren: Kristina, Tyler, Cheyenna, and Michaela Yanson; his brother: Choral (Donna) Yanson, Jr. of Lake Elsinore, CA; three nieces: Tammy, Trina, and Tina; Aunts and Uncles: Ruth and Mike Funk of Schoharie, Charlene and Ken Lee of East Berne, and Marty Wright of Schoharie and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, September 19, 2008 at St. Vincent de Paul Church 138 Washington Ave Cobleskill with Father Thomas F. Holmes as celebrant. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematory Schenectady and burial will be private.
