Shawn Cooper

Middleburgh: Shawn M. Cooper, 49, of Woods Road Extension, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, while participating in this year's "Rolphie Run."

Shawn was born on September 12, 1963 in Schenectady, NY to Patricia (Charland) and Bernard Cooper.

Shawn was a member of the Iron Worker's Union Local out of Albany and was most recently a self-employed maintenance worker.

He loved riding his motorcycle, building scale models and collecting stamps. Shawn's greatest love was his daughter and time spent with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Bernard Cooper.

Shawn is survived by his daughter: Emma Ann Cooper of Middleburgh; mother: Patricia Cooper of Middleburgh; sister: Regina "Tina" Cooper of Schoharie; nephew: Jonathan Zabicki of Schoharie and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY, with Father William A. Gorman of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in Stamford, NY.
Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
