Shaun P. Wayman

Sharon- Shaun P. Wayman, 54, of Leesville Cross Roads, died Saturday at his residence following a sudden medical event.

Born August 26, 1969 in Cobleskill, he was the son of the late Reuben Wayman and his mother who survives, Linda (Batchelder) Merchant.

Shaun graduated from the former Cobleskill Central School and for many years worked at Morton Builders in Cobleskill, retiring as crew foreman. He continued to work as a dock loader at Kelly's Farm and Garden in Cobleskill.

An avid outsdoorsman, Shaun was a hunter and fisherman and enjoyed hiking with his dogs. He was a former member of the Cherry Valley Fish & Game Club. As a contractor, he enjoyed working with wood as a hobby and building projects.

Along with his mother, survivors include his wife, Melissa "Missy" Wayman; two sons: Shaun M. Wayman and Patrick Wayman both of Luttrell, TN; his brother, Matthew Wayman of Sharon Springs and sister, Nina Wayman of Cobleskill.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6PM to 8PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory, Schenectady. There will be no formal funeral service.
