Sharlene Reploeg

Richmondville- Sharlene "Shar" Ruth (Tomlinson) Reploeg, 69, formerly of Ploss Road, passed away to be with her Savior after a short illness on February 26, 2015 in her winter home of Brookville, FL with her loving family at her side.

Shar was born September 25, 1945 in Niskayuna, NY at Bellevue Women's Hospital. After a childhood in which she moved many times, she married her husband Timothy Reploeg and continued to move as a Navy wife. She and Tim settled in , Richmondville, NY not long after Tim's retirement from the US Navy in 1976. Once settled in Richmondville, she worked at the former Community Hospital of Schoharie County as a Respiratory Therapy Technician for a time and then became a homemaker until her two daughters were entering middle school. She then became employed at the Sears Catalog Store located on Main Street in Cobleskill for a number of years. She lastly was employed at the Bank of Richmondville as a bank teller and so enjoyed meeting the people from the community. She continued to enjoy interacting with the public until her retirement in 1993 to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Shar's greatest joy in life was having a family. Never a day went by that she didn't let each member of her family know that she loved them dearly. Her favorite times always included any time the entire family could get together for visits and holiday gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling with Tim in the RV throughout the United States. They loved visiting family and friends, while making new friends throughout their travels and in their adopted winter home in Brooksville, FL.

She is survived by her husband of many years Timothy Reploeg; her two daughters, Maureen (James) Whittaker of Summit, NY and Melinda (Peter) Darling of Arcade, NY; her five grandchildren, Brynn (Alex) Welch of Charlottesville, VA, Gideon (Megan) Whittaker of Oceanside, CA, Erin and Shannon Darling of Arcade, NY and Caleb Whittaker of Summit, NY. She is also survived by three siblings, many nieces and nephews, as well as her close friends who will all miss her dearly.
