Middleburgh- Scott S. Robbins, 61, of Clauverwie Road, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Albany Medical Center.
Born September 19, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of Stanley and Joan E. (Starry) Robbins.
Formerly of Philadelphia, he graduated from George Washington High School. Scott moved to this area in 1989. Scott worked as an accomplished carpenter for many years prior to his employment at Walmart in Sharon Springs where he was a lift mechanic and later worked in the maintenance department. He had worked at the center for eighteen years.
Scott was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his children: Rachel Robbins of Phila., PA, Rebecca Robbins of Denver, CO, Shawn Scott Robbins and Justin Cody Robbins both of Middleburgh; his wife of thrity-two years: JoAnn Norton of Middleburgh; four grandchildren: Robert James Robbins, Joseph Affet, Paige Elizabeth Affet, and Anthony Affet all of Phila., PA; his siblings: Victoria (Bill) Van Soest of Newville, PA, Gregory Robbins of Boyertown, PA, Audrey Robbins of Delmar, NY, Kimberly (Michael) Nugent of Bensalem, PA; his aunt: Dot Preston of Hatfield, PA; three sisters-in-law: Linda Norton of Hatfield, PA, Beverly Bayette of Quakertown, PA, and Nancy (Johnny) Toner, Kinlough, Ireland; brother-in-law: Robert Sochinski of Middleburgh; and nieces and nephews: Alison Powell, Bill, Mackenzie and Abbigail, Jessica (Danny) Kotlow, Courtney (Matthew) Fagan, Kelly and Sairse Toner.
A private celebration of life will be held at the family's home. There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
