Livingstonville- Sandra J. Wayman, 61, of State Route 145, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at her home with her family at her side.
Sandra was born in Cobleskill on August 28, 1949, a daughter of Alice (Schrom) and Raymond Williams.
Sandra graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1968 and worked at Stiefel Labs in Durham from 1987 to 2007. Sandra lived on Baker Avenue in Middleburgh for 41 years prior to moving to Livingstonville. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Broome Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Howard Wayman of Livingstonville, whom she married on January 14, 2006; daughter: Retha Gaige of Central Bridge; son: Thomas (Kelly)Chichester of Cohoes; step-son: Jason (Amy) Wayman of Livingstonville; grandchildren: Zakkary Hurn, Emily Gaige, Richard Gaige, III, Haley Chichester; sisters: JoAnne Shepard of Arizona, Carol (Jim) McBain of Middleburgh, Donna (Ed) Gibson of Cobleskill; brother: James (MaryLou) Williams of Schoharie and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Officiating will be Rev. Steffen Zehrfus of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Central Bridge. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
