Esperance, NY: Sandra Tiedemann, 64, of State Route 162 died Wednesday December 3, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY, following a brief illness.
Sandra was born on January 11, 1944 at home, in the Town of Middleburgh, a daughter of the late George and Margie (Rivenburgh) Diamond.
She attended Middleburgh Central School and was employed as a seamstress for Everlasting Precast in Cairo, NY.
Sandra loved being with family and friends, and enjoyed shopping, animals and doing crossword puzzles.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Pat Mango, Carol Maxwell and Nancy Tweet and two brothers, Benny Diamond and Ike Diamond.
Survivors include her companion, Glenn Denu of Esperance; her 7 children: Margie Schrom, Frank (Wendy) Croote III, and George (Terry) Croote all of Monticello, KY; Todd (Lori) Diamond and Rickie (Becky) Mickle all of Middleburgh; Roxanne (Ryan) Jackson, and Matthew (Kim) Tiedemann all of Schoharie; her sister, Shirley Lawyer of Middleburgh; 2 brothers: Theodore Diamond of Middleburgh and Donald Diamond of Central Bridge; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her husband, Richard Tiedemann of Middleburgh, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY. Officiating will be Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church. Private burial will be in the Middleburgh Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
