Cobleskill- Rossiter “Ross” J. Lighthall, III, 27, of Cobleskill, died at his residence unexpectedly on Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Born July 15, 1991 in Cobleskill, he was a graduate of Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School.  Ross had been working at Golub Corporation as a laborer.

As a young boy, he played baseball and then would join his friends at Teen Town for basketball games.  He liked the beach, loved to eat, play video games, and just be with his friends.  Anyone who knew him, knows Ross had a fetish for sneakers.

Cherishing his memories are his mother, Mary Joe (Stephen) Slater of Warnerville; his father, Rossiter J. Lighthall, Jr of Chandler, IN; his siblings: Patricia (Rodney) Jones of St. Johnsville, Paul Rice, Jr., of St. Johnsville, James Hart of Esperance, and Lincoln (Joseph) Mayott of Hyndsville; maternal grandfather, Leland Arduini, Sr., of St. Johnsville; paternal grandmother, Donna (Larry) Wilson of Schoharie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A period of visitation will be held from 1 to 3PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.  Cremation will follow the visitation and there will be no formal funeral service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Conifer Park, 79 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, NY 12302.
