Ronald Kirk Pearson passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 4, 2026.

He was born on May 26, 1942, to Allan and Anna Pearson in Worcester, MA. He was a graduate of Worcester Academy. He received a BA from Nasson College in Maine and an M.Ed. from Springfield College.

Ron served in the US Navy.

He was employed on the faculty of SUNY Cobleskill from 1972-1995.

In his spare time Ron enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Meg Taylor Pearson; his identical twin, Roger; and his brother, Robert (Bob).

Ron is survived by his significant other, Judith Thorsland of Saratoga Springs, NY; his daughter, Erica (Kevin) Thornton; granddaughter, Braedy of Greensboro, NC; his daughter, Jessica (Brian) Dineen; granddaughters, Ireland and Reese of Latham, NY.
