Richmondville- Ronald F. McTaggart, 80, of Candlewood Lane, Richmondville died Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home.
Born on January 29, 1943 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Peter Edward McTaggart and Rose Specht McTaggart Manchester. He attended the former Cobleskill School and was a lifelong resident of Schoharie County.
He wore many hats in life; real estate, bus driver, master barber. The one he wore that made him the happiest was owning and operating PeeWee's Diner in Warnerville for over 20 years.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law.
He is survived by his significant other and caretaker, Laurie Sager; children, Timothy (Stephanie) McTaggart of Worcester, Laurie (Scott) Meyers of Morris, Jess (James) Parkman of Houston, TX, Keith (Khaye) Sager of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Ingham, Justin Meyers, Sean (Daniela) McTaggart, Hailey McGraw, Jack McGraw, Blake Sager; great-grandson, Jayden Ingham; step-grandchildren, Trinity Parkman, Jordan Parkman, James Parkman; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ronald F. McTaggart may be made to Helios Care, 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY 13820 or to a Church of your choice.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to everyone at Bassett Oncology.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery with Pastor Jack Klosheim officiating.
