Cobleskill- Roger J. Servant, 71, of Iroquois Drive, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his residence.
Born October 1, 1943 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of Peter J. and Marie (Dufresne) Servant, Sr.
Raised in Farmington, CT he was a graduate of Farmington High School. Roger moved from Schenectady to Cobleskill over twenty years ago.
Having a passion for carpentry, he became co-owner of Alpha Omega Construction Co. with his son. He enjoyed woodworking and was always found being a handyman at his church and for family and friends. Roger loved the outdoors as well.
He was a member of the Lamb of God Worship Center for the past twenty years.
A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Roger is survived by his three children: Dawn (Jeff) Champagne of Gansevoort, Joel Servant of Carlisle, and Kayla (Anthony D.S.) Tote of Schenectady; his three siblings; Jeanne (Robert) Piascik of Avon, CT, Claudette (James) Lathrop, Sr., of Plainville, CT, and Pierre (Patricia) Servant of Avon, CT; and two grandchildren: Ryan and Brenna Champagne.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Lamb of God Worship Center, 2551 Highway Rt. 20, Carlisle, where a period of visitation will be held on Sunday, from 5 PM to 7PM. Burial will be in Resting Place Hills Cemetery at Lamb of God Worship Center. Officiating will be Pastor Ed Sobieski.
