Roger Montgomery

Middleburgh- Roger T. Montgomery, 62, formerly of Middleburgh, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for the past few years.

Born April 21, 1949 in Suffern, he was a son of Neale and Alice (Miller) Montgomery.

Roger retired from Taft Furniture in Colonie where he finished furniture.

He had resided in several areas, most recently Middleburgh for sixteen years, but also, Suffern, NY, El Paso, TX, and Tucson AZ. He enjoyed golf, history, and reading.

Survivors include his three children:Jessica (Wes) Wylie and their son, Isaac, of Middleburgh, Andrew Montgomery of Yokohama, Japan, and Benjamin Montgomery of Tucson, AZ; his brother: Neale (Lucy) Montgomery and their children, Maggie McGettigan and Todd Montgomery all of Philadelphia, PA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM at Kelly's, Main St., Middleburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
