Sharon Springs- Roderick C. "Ricky" Perry, 41, of Loonenbergh Turnpike, Sharon Springs died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his home.
Born on May 18, 1981 in Cobleskill, NY, he was the son of Rodney Perry and Barbara Henry Perry. He attended Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School and Lincoln Tech in Mahwah, NJ.
Ricky was the Owner and Operator of RAP Transport.
He was an avid outdoors-man that enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, farming, and boating. Ricky was very talented and an amazing equipment operator. He loved his family, especially his children. And he had a love for animals.
On October 13, 2007 Ricky was married to Ashley Morey.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Morey Perry of Sharon Springs; sons, Liam Perry, Lucas Perry; daughter, Lanah "Bear" Perry; parents, Rodney and Barbara Perry of Cherry Valley, NY; sisters, Caitlyn Perry (Tom Smith), Molly Perry (Terry Raggi); nieces and nephews, Braeden All, Cian Smith, Elmyrja Smith, Alexa Raggi, Aubrie Raggi, Julia Raggi, and Lachlann Smith; cousin (Brother), Matthew Benac; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00am at Calvary Assembly of God, 960 Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill, NY 12043 with Rev. Dr. Ray Richards officiating.
