Middleburgh - Rocco Manniello, 78, of Gorge Road, died unexpedtedly on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born April 29, 1933 in Italy, he was the son of Antonio and Antionette (Endelli) Manniello.
For many years Rocco lived in the New York City area, moving here recently. He retired as a chef from the former Amalfi Restaurant in New York City.
Rocco was of Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Emilia (Bonelli) Manniello; his son: Robert (Letta) Manniello of Middleburgh, and his granddaughter, Nicole Manniello of Middleburgh.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main St., Middleburgh, with Father Thomas F. Holmes as celebrant. There will be no public calling hours and burial will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
