Roberta Ann Hillenbrand

May 8, 1960 — September 30, 2024

Roberta Ann (Caporaso) Hillenbrand, 64, of Cobleskill NY, passed away peacefully on Monday September 30th, surrounded by family.
Roberta was born on May 8th, 1960, in Johnson City, New York, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Rudolph Caporaso Sr.
Roberta worked as a teacher’s aide at the Duanesburg Central School District for over 25 years. She loved working with kids of all ages and even though she enjoyed her summers off, she was always enthusiastic about starting a new school year.
Roberta loved all types of arts and crafts projects including weaving, wood burning, and stained-glass art. She was a perfectionist when it came to wrapping presents and if your bows were not up to her standard, she would be sure to mention something. She loved to go boating with her family on Canadarango Lake.
She cherished her trips to Outer Banks with her family and although she would never actually reel a fish in, she was the best cheerleader anyone could ask for. She loved to garden and had the most spectacular flowers.
Roberta is survived by her husband of 39 years, George Hillenbrand III and their beloved dog, Enzo; her daughter, Doctor Erika Johnston (Anthony); her brothers, Raymond Caporaso (Kelly) and Rudolph Caporaso (Rosey); her sister, Rebecca Rossi (Deron); her sister-in law, Suzanne Senning (Daniel); her nieces, Lillianna Caporaso and Sara Shelton (Rich); and nephews, Nicholas Rossi (Camilla) and Daniel Senning (Heather).
She is preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, George Jr. and Christiane Hillenbrand.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
