Robert Miller

Jefferson- Robert C. Miller, 70, of North Road, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness.

Born May 16, 1944 in Stamford, NY, he was the son of the late Perley and Evelyn (Darling) Miller.

A United States Army veteran, Bob served from 1961 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1967.

Bob was a truck driver for many years with the Schoharie County Highway Department. Most recently, he was a laborer at Eklund's Farm in Stamford.

Bob enjoyed hunting, but spending time with is grandchildren was the most precious of all to him.

He married Elizabeth Rogers on May 7, 1966 and she predeceased him on July 21, 2008.

Survivors include his four daughters: Suzie (Larry) Bliss of Jefferson, Victoria Miller of Blenheim, Christine Gooler of Stony Point, and Shirley Felter of Blenheim; his sister: Mary Payne of Stamford; grandchildren: Robert and Autumn Bliss, Roxanne and Wayne Bliss, Nicholas and Jacqueline Merwin, Ryan Merwin, Michael and Thomas Gooler, Dorothy Lee, and Rose Schrowang; and three great-grandchildren: Riley, Hunter, and Emma.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Adams. Family and friends are also invited to the funeral home for a period of visitation to be held one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 11 AM to 12PM. Private burial will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
