Middleburgh-Rita M. Ferguson, 92, of MT Path, formerly of Clifton Park, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
Born August 4, 1922 in Gelnhausen, Germany, she was the daughter of Ludwig and Carolina (Bohlender) Scheldt.
Rita was a homemaker and loved to tend to her garden, cook and bake. She easily made friends, and had many of them whose company she enjoyed. Having spent most of her life in Clifton Park, Rita moved to Middleburgh to be near her son and daughter-in-law.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-six years, Jack A. Ferguson, who died in 2012 and her daughter-in-law: Katherine Ferguson.
Rita is survived by her son, Peter Ferguson of Middleburgh and her sister, Annielise Engel of Germany.
Private interment will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Middleburgh Emergency Volunteer Ambulance Corp., PO Box 817, Middleburgh, NY 12122
