Richard Walker, Sr.

Warnerville- Richard W. Walker, Sr., 64, of Mickle Hollow Road, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA following a brief illness.

Born June 29, 1956 in Cobleskill, he was the son of the late Franklin D. Walker, Sr. and Jennie (Beacraft) Walker.

Richard had worked in the housekeeping department at the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill.  For enjoyment he watched the old John Wayne movies.  His greatest pleasure was doting on his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carla J. Walker of Schoharie; three children:  Geraldine Walker of Warnerville, Richard W. Walker, Jr. of Cobleskill, and Samantha Walker of Central Bridge; his brothers:  Franklin D. Walker, Jr of Warnerville and Bruce Walker of Cobleskill; and two grandsons:  Ethan and Jacob Walker.  Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Sara Walker.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY  12043.
