Middleburgh- Richard F. Tenneson, Sr., 73, of Danforth Ave., died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his residence.
Born June 8, 1943 in Rahway, NJ, he was the son of Francis and Gladys (Lanning) Tenneson.
He was a graduate of Rahway High School and for over thirty years, he was postmaster in Millburn, NJ.
A sports enthusiast, Richard bowled and golfed and was an avid baseball and football fan, loved horseracing and traveling to the casinos in Las Vegas. He enjoyed a good meal and would only drive a Nissan. Richard has lived in Middleburgh for the past year.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Tenneson and son, Richard Tenneson, Jr. both of Middleburgh; two sisters: Karen Hassler of South Hampton, NJ and Barbara Dillon of Linden, NJ; a brother, Brian Tenneson of Seabring, FL; three grandchildren: William Adams, Sr. and Harley Kelly both of Middleburgh and Ricky Tenneson of Edison, NJ; four nieces and four nephews. His brother, Kyren Tenneson, predeceased him.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh where a period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church.
