Richard B. Steinmuller

Warnerville- Richard B. Steinmuller, 73, of Warnerville, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

Born September 15, 1949, in Fultonham, he was the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Prell) Steinmuller.

Rick retired as sales manager from Capital Cities Imported Cars of Glenmont. He worked long hours without two consecutive days off and retired to enjoy life. Rick loved fiddling around on his tractor and doing outdoor work besides playing golf. He was a social butterfly who loved people and telling stories. Rick was always willing to lend a hand to those who asked.

He married Julie Lockwood on Dec. 5, 1982, and she predeceased him on March 26, 2022.

Continuing to share his memories are his children: Laura (Dave) Layton of South Glens Falls, Brian (Kimberly) Steinmuller of Stillwater, Jason Steinmuller of Glens Falls and Corinne Steinmuller of Rotterdam; grandsons: Trevor, Wesley and Wyatt Layton, granddaughters: Lilah, Eva, and Gemma Steinmuller; his sister, Linda Steinmuller of Buffalo as well as a wonderful bunch of cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at the funeral home with Sandy Shear as celebrant. Burial will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery.
