Richard Mostar

Cobleskill- Richard C. Mostar, 84, formerly of Cobleskill, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in St. Johnsville, NY where he had been a resident for the past few years.

Richard was born October 22, 1926 in Worcester, NY and was the son of Joseph and Jennie (Ribic) Mostar.

He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1947. He was the manager of Pyrofax Gas in Cobleskill, which later became Amerigas. He was a member of VFW Post 5088 in Cobleskill, BPOE # 2040 and was a former Deputy Mayor and Trustee of the Village of Cobleskill.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edna Butler Mostar and a brother, Robert Mostar.

Richard is survived by 3 daughters, JoAnn Mostar of Manlius, NY, Diane Madden of Delanson, and Susan (Kevin) Hicks of Clifton Park, a twin brother, Donald Mostar, and one grandson, Shane Madden of West Milton, NY

A private graveside service with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 5088, State Route 10, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
