Warnerville- Richard D. Cronk, 72, of Mineral Springs Road, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at Sunnyview Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady.

Born March 15, 1942 in Cobleskill, he was the son of Leonard and Mabel (Bell) Cronk.

Richard worked at Mountain Dairy in the 1960's and the Cobleskill Town Highway Department. He retired after twenty-five years at General Electric in Schenectady.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Susan Wells, and is survived by his daughters: Teresa (Ronald) Wetsell, Lory Miers and her partner, Mark Sommers, and Dawn Parks and her partner, Jeff Handy; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his wife of twenty-seven years: Pamella (Smith) Cronk; three stepsons: Paul (Jackie) Florio, Michael (Jill Gould) Florio, and Tan (Lauren) Florio; and three step-grandchildren.

Rich enjoyed his retirement playing cards, and meeting with his coffee clan at the diner and McDonald's.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Warnerville United Methodist Church, State Route 7, with Rev. Mary Ellen Moore officiating. A period of visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Richmondville Volunteer Emergency Squad, PO Box 11, Richmondville, NY 12149.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St. Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
