Retta Righi

Retta W. Righi, 92, formerly of Cobleskill, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she had been a resident since 2013.

Retta was born June 16, 1922, in Middleburgh, NY and was the daughter of Lawrence and Minnie (McBain) Warner.

She was a graduate of Middleburgh Central School and received her Associate of Applied Science Degree from Asbury College. She was a member of the Cobleskill United Methodist Church and sang in the choir, a volunteer in the Turquoise Unit of the former Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County, and a member of the Chaplain's Team at the hospital as well.

She married Charles P. Righi on November 5, 1966, and he predeceased her on March 9, 1992. She was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Leslie, and her sisters, Anna and Dorothy.

Retta is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rose Warner of Florida, several nieces and nephews, and her very dear friend, Larry Markley of Cobleskill.

There will be no formal services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
